What Makes Our School Unique?

We’re glad you have an interest in Gower Elementary, “Home of the Gators.” Gower is a great place for children to learn and have fun. We have 100 students from 25 countries representing five ethnic backgrounds making Gower very diverse. Through six ELL classes we serve students not proficient in English.

Gower has great music, P.E., art and computer programs which support the classroom academics. Our music room has a 12 keyboard lab used by second, third and fourth grade students.

Gower is focused on creating good citizenship in all children. We are supporting our efforts by using the “Character Counts” program. Students are learning about the “seven pillars of character.”

Our parents are actively involved in PTA and volunteering around the school. We encourage and welcome all parents to Gower.

Visitors are welcome and tours are available upon request.

Who Attends Our School?

Students living in the Gower area are zoned to Hillwood High School. For more detailed information about who attends this school, view the Hillwood Cluster Map. To determine whether you are zoned to this school, visit our School Zone Finder.
